Description

After leading 130 volunteers to clean up the Ellerslie town centre (a pre-rugby world cup event under the joint partnership of the charitable trust I direct, the Council, and the local business association), Greenpeace came overnight and plastered the town with their protest posters. Feeling very indignant, I let Greenpeace know that they needed to clean up...and now! They did come....three times in fact. Each time the job was poorly done so I was not about to let them off the hook. You can read the following press articles about the saga here and read the second half of this article. This photo is of Sally Eustace, Town Manager of the Ellerslie Business Association and I with the offending posters.
